Their happy nature is not only seen onstage alone, have a chance to meet them off stage and they can be usually seen clowning around or laughing at each other. Despite thier carefree nature, however, this band is as serious as can get when it comes to their music.

With a number of original compositions that hint of their songwriting ability and an original revival of The Dawn's "Enveloped Ideas" that more than does justice to the original, the band has shown that they are for real.

Jeepney Joyride is a band that is serious in having fun, which means playing their music. They consider their music ska-core or punk-ska. Their unfluences vary from White Zombie & The Red Hot Chili Pepper to classical music. They now also listen to Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Supertones, Sublime, Reel Big Fish, Skankin’ Pickle & our very own Put3ska.
